yellow pears

I should call this "Beauty In The Simple Things". We live in a dark world today and without, pardon the old cliche,  stopping and smelling the roses, everything looks that much darker. These are just two pears that I purchased from Wegmans produce department. They are a simple subject, yet full of  graceful lines, colorful, and full character. When I saw them my still life painting radar went off and they screamed Paint me, Paint me!!!!! So I did! As I was walking into the gallery this past week to hang them in the place where Aslan once hung, the precious woman at the desk, another watercolor artist, said SOLD! She saw the beauty in the simple things too.
